Online Casino Sucker Bets — Part II

  • Progressive side wagers: Games such as Caribbean Stud Poker often contain one of these. You generally lay a bet (a dollar is the normal value) to attempt to win a side jackpot that could be upwards of $25,000. Though huge jackpots like these are extremely alluring, they are also incredibly complicated to succeed. You might need to get a Royal Flush in order to succeed on this wager. Also, picture this- you play twenty hands and place the side bet every time. That’s 20 dollars you should have used towards the real game wager in place of a sucker bet. Just think about what you could have been able to win at a bet with more favorable odds using that $20.
  • Individual number bets in Roulette: This is completely true for American Roulette. The reason? American Roulette has 2 zeroes on the wheel, as opposed to European Roulette, which has just 1. This shifts the complete house advantage from 2% with one zero wheel to a huge 5percent in American. The single number bet has only a one in thirty eight chance of winning, which are very long odds indeed. Bet on even-odd or black-red bets alternately which have a much smaller house edge.
  • Keno: Any version of Keno, and anyway you wager on it, the house edge can be a whopping 25%. Yes, that was not a error. Due to the large amount of numbers you have to pick, it isn’t recommended to bet on Keno to often. A couple of times for enjoyment, maybe. But do not spend all your cash on it or you’ll quickly discover yourself bankrupt.
