The net gaming business in the UK has doubled in 5 years, with more than one million gamblers commonly betting over the internet. According to a poll carried out by the Dept. of Culture, Media and Sport, United Kingdom bettors make up around 1/3rd of the Old World’s approximated total of three point three million internet bettors.
The average cash figure wagered by every bettor is approximated at £1,000, with the European sector now worth £3 500 000 000 each year.
Amongst the 70 web gambling casinos in the UK, few are gaming websites advertising casino card games like poker and blackjack. A better part of the world’s 2,000 net betting casinos are based in places with dubious internet casino rules. Antigua and Costa Rica account for more than one thousand sites between them.
The Gov’t in the UK is hoping to introduce rules and a tax setup to control the working of the net gambling industry. With such regulatory framework in place, web gambling activities would be observed and the industry will achieve even bigger heights in the near future.
